Ruthellen Reads

Find our just for fun coffee and tea readings on Instagram @ruthellenreads

What is a coffee reading? Well, it might depend who you ask, and it definitely depends on who is doing the reading. A Ruthellen coffee reading is a sometimes deeply profound (but almost always fun) reflection of a point in time. We use it primarily to open up to playfulness and creativity, which sometimes lightens the day and sometimes speaks to the depths of suffering.

A Ruthellen reading doesn’t usually tell you what to do, or what will happen, but these mini-readings can be a cute way to orient yourself to the emotional and spiritual tasks of the day (or the current phase in your life).

The energy of the day might be full of loud and poignant representations of major themes in your life, or it might be a little giggle about the absurdity of wild characters lurking in the mundanity of a morning coffee. If nothing else, it lets us know that nothing is (really) mundane, if we are truly present with it. This is the grandest offering I can make as a reader… the offering of presence for a moment, and the option of looking and feeling into that moment in as much fullness as possible.

Each day we post a free reading online at @ruthellenreads. We can also do private mini-readings for $25 online or in-person. Or we can incorporate a coffee or tea reading into our longer consultation services, as a way to open your mind to thinking laterally about what's troubling you.

Which themes or energies are looming large for you at this point in time? Which aspects of (your) self are trying to get attention?

I can try to read (between the lines) if your barista gives you elaborate art or an intentional symbol. But ask them to free pour, and let’s see what messages chaos has for you!

Visit @ruthellenreads on Instagram and comment or DM with a photo of your Coffee. You can send your crema before you sip, or your grinds or leaves at the end of your cup, and if it speaks to me I will tell you what I see.

The one that speaks the loudest will be posted as my ‘daily reading’ post and I’ll comment briefly on the others where I can. If you’re a barista or patron of the #topoftownipswich you might start to find this card around. Feel free to share it in real life or on your social media.
